The Public History Program is pleased to announce that our students have curated two exhibits that will be on display at the Branigan Cultural Center in downtown Las Cruces. The first, “Fabián García: Cultivating Character,” explores the life behind the father of the New Mexico chile. The second, “The Branigan Building: A Lasting Legacy,” shows how the downtown building has served a changing regional community in a variety of ways since it was built in the 1930s.
An opening reception will be held this Friday (Dec. 5) from 5-7 pm as part of First Friday festivities.
